Ronald Jay Fish, 50, of Alamogordo, died Friday, February 21, 2003, in Alamogordo.  He was born November 28, 1952 in Tucumcari, and raised in Alamogordo where he graduated from High School in 1971.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served for eight years in the medical field.  More recently he worked as an operating room technician at Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center, and for health reasons left to build his business doing home improvement work.  He loved fishing, camping, dancing, spending time with family and helping others.  He couldn't say no when asked to help.  His favorite saying was, "I'll take care of it."

Survivors include two daughters, Tammie Lynn Fish of Buffalo, New York, and Amy Lisa Fish of Abilene, Texas; a stepdaughter, Crystal Porter of Dallas, Texas; his parents, William and Loretta Fish of Alamogordo; his twin brother, Donald Ray Fish, and his significant other, Jeanne Leclaire of Derry, New Hampshire; three sisters, Johnnie Mae Fish and her fiance Chris Wallace of Rio Rancho, Connie Porter, and Bonnie Gipson and her husband Kenneth, all of Alamogordo.  He is also survived by his half-siblings, Lecarla, Jelene, Randy and John Christian; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a beloved uncle, Arlis Hutchens; his grandparents, Hugh and Willie Mae Huthens, James G. and Lillian Fish, and Manuelta and Carl Christian.

At his request no services were held.  However, a gathering of family and friends was held to share memories of Ronny.  In his memory, the family asks that donations be made to either the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society in his name,

Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home.
