Rodney Dwaine Reeves

Rodney, born July 19, 1953, passed away in Renton, Washington on December 4, 2009.

Surrounded by friends and family Rodney D. Reeves entered into eternal rest in Seattle, Wash., where he was a resident for the past 27 years.

Born to Virginia and Woody Reeves in Orange, Texas, the family later moved to Alamogordo, where Rodney was a 1971 graduate of Alamogordo High School.

Rodney enjoyed his job as a professional bartender for more than two decades. He also enjoyed doing artwork, traveling, family, laughter and listening to his favorite singer, Patsy Cline.

He was preceded in death by his father Woody Reeves; stepfather Frank Vigil; and grandmother Marge Zebriskie.

Although Rodney never had children of his own, he had many nephews and nieces that he loved and honored.

Rodney is survived by his companion of 27 years, Steve Bates; special friend Sharron Dowel; his mother Virginia Vigil; sister Nancy Tally and her husband, Harvey; brother Davey Reeves and his wife, Becky, all of Alamogordo; Shawnna Prudencio and her husband, David, of Tularosa; and many nephews, nieces, family and friends.

Rodney will be missed, but never forgotten.
