BRUCE ROWLAND WEBER

Memorial services for longtime Cortez resident Bruce Rowland Weber will be held at 11:30 on Friday, February 14 at the Cortez Elks Lodge. Pastor Mark Baker will officiate.

Bruce was born July 9, 1953 in Alamogordo, N.M. the son of Marvin David and Betty Ellen (White) Weber. He passed away at his home on Monday, January 27, 2014 at the age of 60.

After meeting in 2001, Bruce married his best friend and love, Connie Ellsworth, in June of 2012. Bruce worked at Vectra Bank for 20 years and he was very active in the community. He was past chairman of the Southwest Health System Board, past president of the Kiwanis Club, Elks Club member for over 20 years and a member of the Cortez Chamber of Commerce.

In Bruce's free time, he enjoyed mountain biking, walking, reading, and working on his computer. He absolutely loved eating at Stonefish Sushi Restaurant. Bruce was also a big Broncos fan and loved to watch them play.

Surviving Bruce are his wife, Connie Ellsworth of Cortez; his sons, Jonathan Weber and wife, Danielle of Bozeman, Mont., and Mathew Weber of Bozeman, Mont.; his grandchildren, Hailey Bryne Weber and Madelyn Kinsley Weber; his mother, Betty Weber of Alamogordo, N.M.; his brothers, Michael Weber and wife, Becky of Las Cruces, N.M., Douglas Weber of Alamogordo, N.M., and Paul Weber and wife, Carla of Dallas, Tex.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Weber. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Montezuma, P.O. Box 740, Cortez, or to the Southwest Memorial Hospital Foundation, 1311 N. Mildred Road, Cortez.
