Dolores Feldbusch (Atencio)

Dolores Feldbusch (Atencio)

Dolores Atencio, age 65, died peacefully at home on October 30, 2018, surrounded by her family, after a 16 month battle with cancer. She was born October 2, 1953 in Stuttgart-Mohringen, Germany, the daughter of Victor and Rosemarie (Nill) Feldbusch. Dolores moved to Alamogordo with her family at the age of 6 and graduated from Alamogordo High School in 1971. During her high school years, she met and fell in love with her future husband, Earl Atencio. They married on August 8, 1971 and spent 47 wonderful years together. Dolores was a long time resident of Flower Mound, Texas where she resided with her family since 1989.
Dolores is survived by her husband, Earl Atencio; mother, Rosemarie Feldbusch of Alamogordo, New Mexico; sons, Karl Atencio and his wife, Jennifer, of Frisco, Texas and Paul Atencio of Flower Mound, Texas; granddaughters, Alexandra, Ashton, and Anna; brothers, Russel Feldbusch of Alamogordo, New Mexico and Frank Feldbusch of Los Lunas, New Mexico; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family was the foundation of her life and the joy of her world, especially her three beautiful granddaughters. She always looked forward to the yearly family vacations in the Bahamas and the wonderful memories of time spent with family. Dolores was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will forever remain in our hearts.
The funeral service will be held at 10:15 AM on Thursday November 15, 2018 at Christ Community Church, 2960 N. Scenic Dr., Alamogordo, New Mexico. Pastor Trey Talley will officiate.

Dolores was my first date at the Christmas dance when I was in Junior High at Chapparal.  I still have the snapshots of she and I taken by my mother along with Leonard Meeks and his date.

I am happy for having a wonderful life and hope she has peace where her soul is now.

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Dolores.  We were great friends in junior high and I have such terrific memories of our years together.   My heart breaks for her family and friends, may their hearts have wonderful memories of joyful times spent with their cherished Dolores.

I’m so sorry Earl, Mrs. Felbusch, and family.  Dolores and I used to listen to the records of the Beatles, Turtles, etc. in her bedroom and dance with abandon!  It was fun.  We took German class together too, and she mastered it much better than I.  May you be comforted.

With Love,

Seemed like Dolores and I were in many classes together through out school. She was a beautiful, delicate flower. She will be missed. Such a gentle person.
